Interior painting for 1920s St. Leonard's Tract homes and Ventnor Heights houses.

Interior Painting in Ventnor, NJ
Ventnor's older sections were built with plaster, arched openings, coved ceilings and tile detail that a standard repaint tends to flatten. We paint them to keep the architecture visible.
- Arched openings, coves and plaster detail cut by hand
- Sheen chosen so 1920s plaster texture reads as character, not damage
- Bonding primer over decades-old oil trim
- Ventnor Heights and beach-block homes each prepped for their own moisture load
Interior painting for 1920s St. Leonard's Tract homes and Ventnor Heights houses.
The St. Leonard's Tract and the blocks around Ventnor Avenue hold a lot of 1920s Mediterranean and colonial revival homes: stucco outside, plaster inside, with barrel-arched openings, coved ceiling transitions, plaster niches and original tile. Rolling a modern flat over all of that in one pass makes the rooms look softer and cheaper than they are.
We handle these interiors with sheen and line control. Higher-sheen products exaggerate every plaster ripple, so large fields in older rooms get a matte or low-sheen finish while trim, casings and arch reveals carry a satin or enamel to hold the edges crisp. Arches and coves are cut freehand — tape does not follow a curved plaster transition — and old oil trim is dulled and bonded so the new enamel actually adheres.
Over in Ventnor Heights the housing is newer and the walls are mostly drywall, but the moisture load from the bay side is higher. There, the priority moves to checking for humidity and past water marks before painting, using stain-blocking primer where needed, and specifying moisture-tolerant finishes in baths, laundry rooms and lower levels.
